With strengthening wind and driving rain, today's match referee Mr Lee Venamore called today's game at Margate off at 2.40pm. The referee was of the opinion that the weather conditions were worsening on the approach to kick off. This was of no consolation to many Stones supporters who made the long journey down to Margate this afternoon.
The Ryman League has postponed the League Cup Second Round fixture between Wealdstone and Boreham Wood, scheduled for Tuesday 3 November 2009. This has been done to assist the Stones in their preparations for their FA Cup 1st Round tie against Rotherham United on the 8th November 2009. This match will now take place on Tuesday 10 November 2009, Kick Off: 7.45pm.
The Dave Bassett fundraising dinner that was due to take place on Saturday, 21st November has been put on hold for the time being. With all the frenzied activity surrounding the Rotherham FA Cup game involving so many people from around the Club there is not the time and manpower available to dedicate to selling tickets for the dinner. The dinner will be rebooked at a later date and once a date is confirmed, a news release with ticket information will be sent out.

The tie will take place on Sunday November 8th, kick off 3pm at Grosvenor Vale, Ruislip and supporters are urged to buy tickets early.
Wealdstone Football Club will be selling a limited edition commemorative first team shirt with "FA Cup, Wealdstone v Rotherham United, 1st Round 2009/10" on it. The club in conjunction with the Supporters Club are making ten shirts available on a first come first served basis. The cost per shirt will be £100. All the players and management will sign the shirt for you as well and this will be a complete one off.
The Supporters Club are holding our Annual General Meeting at 8pm on Monday, 9th November 2009 in the Aquarium Bar at the Ruislip Social Club. This will be followed by an question & answer session with both Howard Krais, Chairman of Wealdstone and 1st team manager, Gordon Bartlett. We hope that we get a good turnout of supporters and we look forward to seeing you there.
